Luster deconstructs late Romantic piano music in surreal, glitchy electronic pieces, twisting century-old sophistication into something brutal and darkly humorous. Some of the tracks are refractions of the music of the French composer Louis Vierne; others are based on original works. All of them turn neoclassical music on its head.

FELD (Marlon Feld) has been stalking the back alleys of music his whole life. Trained as a music theorist, he’s studied in depth Broadway musicals, 00’s-style German glitch, and contemporary film music. He performs using a MIDI keyboard, a retrofitted 1893 Blickensderfer typewriter, and twisting, shaking hand gestures.

FELD unravels late Romantic music and weaves it into a surreal soundscape.

A haunting fusion of neoclassical elegance and glitchy electronics, born from a lifetime of musical obsession.

Century-old sophistication twisted into fresh, brutal iterations.
